Ohhhhhh kiddies these days.
Some kids like playing sports. Others like painting. Some like to hoard their parents clothes and have fashion shows. Others like to build intricate structures out of Legos and we wonder how they’re smarter than us at age two. Some kiddos like monster trucks and some kiddos like green beans and some kiddos are super, super picky. Then there’s the picky ones that love monster trucks and green beans. Thankfully, at the end of every single one of our crazy, busy, adventurous, finger-painted days, all kids crave the same thing: yumtastical food.
When discussing the eating habits of our shorter and cuter counterparts, we often use the terms “kid food,” or “kid-friendly.” So what is kid food and what makes a food kid-friendly?! Lettuce face the facts. Kids are picky. And so are many adults! What I see kid food as being is simple, back to the basics, no questions asked, good food. And yes, at times, that may sound something like chicken fingers, pizza, ice cream, and mac n’ cheese. So, what if I told that you could give your kids all of these foods in a healthier, plant-powered form?
Today I have for you a set of simply humbelievable vegan recipes that even the kiddos will be hollering about. They’re free of crazy amounts of added sugar and have zip zilch zero funky chemicals and additives. News flash— kids food doesn’t have to be bright orange or purple to be tasty. The importance of feeding children with wholesome ingredients cannot be overstated, my frands. Healthy living that starts at a young age, and the food that they consume will set them up for top-notch growing. Do your part!
Now there’s no need to turn your youngins into full-fledged plant-powered foodies who say no to crusty pizza and ice cream. Aren’t we all just kids at heart anyway?! We all need those indulgences in our lives at one time or another. But a little healthy eating surely won’t hurt the little sprouts! Eat up, friends!

These are all tasty sounding recipes, but it is my understanding that Nutella is not dairy free. I would not be able to serve them to my vegan niece.
I have been eating vegan in large part for some time, but now I hope to go all in, and take my family along for the ride. I love this list and plan on trying the crispy tofu “fingers” tonight. However, I noticed a grilled nutella sandwich on the list and I thought I should point out that Nutella (the brand) is NOT vegan. There may be chocolate hazelnut spread brands that are (believe me, my kids already asked!), but Nutella is not one of them.
Nutella isn’t vegan! But there are vegan chocolate hazelnuts spreads on the market!
I am totally putting a few of these recipes on my radar, even though I don’t have kids! Thanks for this post!
