This quick and easy Spicy Tuna Salad is love at first bite! It hits all the right umami-spicy-creamy notes and is packed with protein from canned tuna, edamame, and Greek yogurt. It's the kind of no-cook lunch that actually keeps you satisfied for hours (yes, please!). Scoop it up with roasted seaweed, cucumber slices or crackers.

Meet my new lunch hyperfixation! It has the perfect amount of heat--a good kick but by no means super spicy--and it's one of those foolproof recipes you can't wait to chow down on again the next day.
My quick veggie-packed tuna salad is on regular rotation but I found myself craving something a little more fun. Turns out canned tuna gets a major upgrade from zippy sriracha, toasted sesame oil, and soy sauce. The combo is seriously irresistible!
And you this is packed with veggies by design. This version is supercharged with edamame (I always keep a bag in the freezer), crunchy celery and snappy green onions for extra protein and texture. Consider yourself converted!
Behind the scenes of recipe testing
- Greek yogurt AND mayo are key for flavor and creaminess. When I tested it with just Greek yogurt, it was missing that wow factor. I even tried just one tablespoon of mayo, but 1 ½ tablespoons was the sweet spot for max deliciousness.
- Rice vinegar and honey bring balance. It was clear all that creamy, salty, and spicy goodness needs some acid and a touch of sweetness to make everything pop. Don't you dare skip them!
- Drain the tuna more than you normally would. I developed this recipe to have more wet ingredients than your standard tuna salad, and nobody wants it watery. Get as much liquid out as you can (I'm not above using paper towels) so everything stays perfectly creamy.
Let's make it

Description
This quick and easy Spicy Tuna Salad is love at first bite! It hits all the right umami-spicy-creamy notes and is packed with protein from canned tuna, edamame, and Greek yogurt. It's the kind of no-cook lunch that actually keeps you satisfied for hours (yes, please!). Scoop it up with roasted seaweed, cucumber slices, or crackers.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 ½ tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce (sub tamari for gluten free and start with 2 tsp)
- ½ tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 5oz cans tuna in water, very well-drained
- ½ cup diced celery
- ½ cup chopped green onions (I use both white and green parts)
- ½ cup shelled edamame (cooked according to package, I use thawed from frozen)
Instructions
- Add Greek yogurt, mayo, sriracha, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and honey to a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Drain tuna very well, being sure to remove all water, then add to mixing bowl. Use a fork to flake the tuna and mix into the yogurt mixture.
- Add celery, green onions, and edamame. Mix to combine. I like to garnish with toasted sesame seeds! Serve with roasted seaweed snacks, crackers, sliced cucumbers, or in a rice bowl. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Such a quick, easy, and delicious recipe! I had extra dressing so I mixed in a 3rd can of tuna and it was still so flavorful. I can't wait to have the leftovers for easy lunches this week! 🙂
