Brighten up your morning with this rich and creamy Healthy Cinnamon Mocha made with real food ingredients!

I'm in a relationship with flavored coffee.

It didn't used to be this way. I use to be a minimalist. Small coffee with soy, please. Large almond milk lattes or cold brews on the weekends. You know the drill.

Then I met my lovely boyf and his obsession with grog and snickerdoodle soon became my obsession with grog and snickerdoodle. I always loved coffee, but his love for coffee made mine grow tenfold.

Ya see, coffee is a fantastical drink because it's so social. It's not just the flavor or the caffeine or the fact that it pulls me back together when I feel as if I'm more like three million pieces than one person. People talk over coffee. They put their phones away over coffee. They walk to get coffee. It's casual, carefree, inexpensive, and just so lovely. It's truly an experience, and I think it makes the world a better place.

Brighten up your morning with this rich and creamy Healthy Cinnamon Roll Mocha, made with real food ingredients and only 134 calories per serving!

As does cinnamon! Whenever I see cinnamon coffee, I have to stop and take a deep breath. In through the nose, out through the mouth.

Now I can have my little cinnamon treat in the comfort of my own home next to my comfy boyf all wrapped up in a comfy plaid blanket before we go apple picking and do ALL THE AUTUMN THANGS!

Ugh, I just love this snuggly season so hard.

You can snag the coffee greatness needed for your Healthy Cinnamon Roll Mocha wherever you buy groceries. Grab a bag of chocolate chippies, your favorite whipped cream, and some cacao for good measure and wam-bam-hot-damn you're pretty much a barista. Did I tell you this gem only has 134 calories per serving and about a third of the sugar of a traditional mocha? Let's all break out into synchronized dance!

Packed with antioxidant-rich cacao, pure maple syrup, and rich chocolate chips, this morning drank is pretty much my heart and soul in a cup. I promise that for those times when you can't get your paws on an ooey gooey cinnamon roll, this is the next best thing.

    Drink on, my delicious babesicles!

Hello Alexis, very impressive article on healthy coffee! And yes, I agree with your point β€œcoffee is a fantastical drink because it’s so social.” I love flavored coffee too. Thanks for sharing such an amazing blog.

I just made this and I have to say it made me nostalgic for the days I use to drink Starbucks mochas! Except this is way better and isn't nearly as sweet as the normal coffee shop mochas. I'll definitely be making this more often!

After reading your confession of a dietitian post i'm a little confused about why only 134 calories are important in this post. Especially if it "wasn’t about calories or fat and it never will be..." How do you could calories and have total food freedom? I have struggled with finding food freedom, when number are still conveyed as being important.

That's a very valid point, Aubrey. Thanks for pointing that out! To be honest, it's been a struggle for me to help people with weight management while promoting intuitive eating (oftentimes decreasing caloric intake is necessary for people in order to facilitate weight loss). I personally have never counted calories but as a dietitian, I work with clients who want/need to be told how many calories they should be consuming. This is why I hadn't been posting nutritional info. I do truly appreciate your insight. So much so that I went back and deleted the 124 calorie part πŸ™‚

Absolutely love your ode above to coffee- couldn't agree more!!! I'm normally a minimalist with my coffee order but this drank would be an exception- looks SO cozy & delish!! I don't comment as much as before but just wanted to say that your writing never fails to bring a smile to my face, Alexis :)!
