I’m a type 2 diabetic managing my disease with Metformin, diet and exercise. Your recipes have low sugar but also include other sweeteners like Maple Sugar which I seldom use. Advice and suggestions please.
Alexis Joseph, MS, RD says
Hi there, Mark! I use real, less refined sweeteners in smaller amounts. Assuming you're balancing your carbs and can have some sugar, most of what I post I would hope could fit into your diet the appropriate portion. I think you meant pure maple syrup which is what I use most often? I don't use sugar free sweeteners but feel free to experiment with sugar-free monkfruit maple syrup if that aligns better with your needs. I hope that helps!

Do you have a cookbook? I love your recipes but never find them a second time. Ughh
Alexis Joseph, MS, RD says
I'm so glad to hear that! I don't have a cookbook. There is a search bar on my site or you can always Google "Hummusapien tomato soup recipe," for example. Hope that helps!

I need a recipe for white bread that's gluten free. Would you have one?

Love this! I haven't experimented with dairy free cream cheese for the frosting but you could try another vegan frosting recipe, maybe with cashews?

Do you have any flaxseed snack recipes without peanut butter?
Alexis Joseph says
I have flax in a lot of my recipes but you can always use sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter if that's helpful?

Hello Alexis!
I'm new to your site. I found you while researching desserts for Passover. I just turned 70 and have been trying to lose 10-15 lbs over the past 20 years! I love my sweets, so that's one of my problems, and I also love my wine. I usually have something sweet after dinner and I drink 2-3 glasses of wine 2-3 times per week. These are 2 of my issues. I'm excited to try some of your recipes and hope they give me the willpower to lose at least 10 lbs over the next couple of months. Wish me luck!!
Alexis Joseph says
I’m so glad you found me! What’s life without enjoying sweets and wine 🙂 I hope you can find some nourishing recipes you love to help along your journey.

Hello Alexis,
I like the look of your photos. Food, looks yummy!
What got my attention; first, was the afore mentioned! And, the sense of hummer in your hummus!! Lol!
I’m going to try the banana, carrot and cream cheese frosting bread!
I have the blackest bananas and a bunch of carrots that will need replacement, soon! Good time to bake all that off before I loose it!
Thank you for the recipe!
