Hello, lovely people of the webosphere!
First, I want to address the fact that I’ve been a wee bit less involved with the blog lately. TRISM’s upcoming opening has taken me for a wild ride and it’s been a lotttttt tougher to find the time to put out the awesome content you deserve. It’s weird trying to find a “work work” balance amongst some semblance of a “work life balance.” All I really want to say is a big THANK YOU for your endless support, even when I’m not as present as I once was. Life, I tell ya!
So I’ve been on a total oatmeal kick lately. I’ve either been doing steel cut oats cooked in half almond milk half water with chia seeds stirred in and topped with berries and almond butter OR this here oatmeal cereal of sorts.
I started with 1/2 cup organic rolled oats from my Yellowbird CSA in a bowl with a tablespoon of chia seeds, a sprinkle of this amazing Naked Granola Taste of California I found at TJ Maxx, and a good shake of cinnamon. Then I added a bunch of chopped strawberries, raspberries, sliced banana, my fave almond butter, and tons of almond milk. It’s so satisfying!!
I also had my usual decaf coffee with the best unsweetened vanilla soy milk. That’s how I always get my coffee at coffee shops so I finally bought my favorite West Soy organic unsweetened vanilla soy milk to have at home. It’s also delish with cold brew!
I got some questions about decaf so know that a) I do drink regular sometimes, but at home I usually go with decaf because regular causes me some serious bathroom woes…TMI and b) I get swiss water decaf which means the caffeine is removed naturally by rinsing the beans with water rather than chemically. Right now I have Allegro organic decaf Whole Foods blend.
P.S. the skirt I’m wearing is from Target and it’s the best. I have a black and brown version too that I wear all the time. Highly recommend!
Lunch was a random fridge lunch with mixed greens, cabbage, tomato, baked sweet potato, quinoa, roasted chickpeas, avocado, and croutons with leftover pesto as the dressing.
I made a chocolate version of my Flourless Banana Zucchini Cake Cookies so snackage involved a couple of those plus an apple.
Before dinner I snacked on a Siggi’s coconut yogurt with pineapple. The best combo!
Dinner was bean balls with the best Kirkland organic marinara sauce, whole wheat noodles and zoodles, garlic bread and salad. For the garlic bread, I slathered Dave’s Killer Bread I found at Costco with Earth Balance, garlic powder, sea salt, and nooch and then broil on both sides till nice and crispy. It’s the best!
I munched on more granola before bed. Happy hump day, lovers!
i love that you made garlic bread with Dave’s!! that’s my favorite bread of all time! and your breakfast looks sooooo good. sometimes i have oatmeal every single day for awhile and then get a bit sick of it, but i haven’t had it in ages and your bowl is making me want some again! good luck with your upcoming opening 🙂
I love it! Costco for the win 🙂 Thanks for the well wishes!!
I love your Wednesday posts! It’s so fun to get new ideas. For example, your breakfast looks delicious. You don’t cook the oats or anything first right? I can’t decide if I’d like oats that weren’t cooked or soaked overnight, but your picture looks so good!
I’m so glad people are still inspired by these posts! Nope–totally raw. I find it a lot more like cereal which tends to appeal to me more than hot oatmeal when it comes to texture. I have to really be in the mood for hot oats!

can you cook and deliver to me? Awesome eats. OMG, yummy!!!Do you create these recipes yourself? Is dinner pasta noodles mixed with specialized zucchini? And what is your favorite almond butter? I didn’t realized siggi’s made non dairy yogurt. I’ll have to search for it. And really, you need to start a meal delivery service and I’ll sign up!!
Hahaha you’re too sweet! Yes, I create all my recipes myself. Yes, that’s whole grain pasta mixed in with zoodles. My favorite AB is the one I linked to, the Kirkland one from Costco. The Siggi’s is not dairy-free 🙂 Thanks for reading!

All your food looks so good – especially your lunch. I think I’ll make a salad with similar ingredients, depending on what I have on hand, tomorrow!
