    What I Ate Wednesday

    Published May 17, 2017 · Modified Apr 13, 2019 · by Alexis Joseph · 22 Comments

Except it's actually what I ate....on the WEEKEND! Don't all jump up at once.

Weekends are usually more fun and delish and exciting and I reckon we could all use a hefty dose of all of the above.

Jeff and I usually go out for brunch on one of the weekend days and make pancakes on the other day. This time we decided to sit outside at Pistacia Vera and nom on the smoked salmon salad with a croissant, Greek yogurt bowl with muesli, berries, and jam, the quiche, and lotsa hot java. It was a dreamy way to start off the day people watching the fine specimens of German Village wander past.

I tend to eat snacky meals on the weekend because nothing is planned or packed ahead of time and I find that everything is more intuitive that way. You know those days where you pack something the night before and then you open your lunchbox all like, "what was 9pm me thinking?!" Oy vey.

For lunch I was craving fresh fresh fresh so I enjoyed leftover Spring Veggie Bowls with Cilantro Lime Crema....

Plus a big leftover (duh) baked sweet potato with almond butter and sea salt when I got home. Sweet and salty for life. And for lunch.

Jeff and I did a quickie workout at the gym and twinned on some blueberry smoothies when we got home with frozen wild blueberries, frozen spinach, chocolate Vega, hemp seeds, and almond milk with cinnamon Puffins on top because I can't not top every smoothie with Puffins these days.

For dinner we rode our bikes to Local Cantina for tacos and all the free chips and salsa.

You guys. I have the most epic dessert combo for you. First, grind some sea salt over your carton of creamy chocolate cashew milk ice cream. Yes, I just said that. Then dip spoonfuls of said salted chocolate ice cream into the peanut butter jar. LET'S ALL CRY AT ONCE OH MY GAHHHHH.

    Love you bye.

Nut butter, is there anything it can't make more delicious? 🙂 Totally craving that sweet potato & almond butter combo.
