    What I Ate Wednesday

    Published Feb 22, 2017 · Modified Apr 13, 2019 · by Alexis Joseph · 12 Comments

    G'day, curly cucumbers!

The period Gods have blessed me with what has been the most hormonal week I think I've ever had. I felt like I was kicked out of my body while all my wackadoodle hormones set up shop. Over the weekend I felt like I ran six marathons and was so exhausted to the point that I had to nap for several hours in the middle of the day. And I never nap! Don't even ask about the random bouts of tears at the dinner table. Or the pounding migraine I have as I'm writing this now. Womanhood, how I adore thee!

Long story short, forgive my brevity and unedited pics today.

Before I get into it, I wanted to share with you all that I'm participating in a 3-day RD workshop this March for all you fabulous dietitians and health professionals looking to grow your biz! We all know that this industry is a labor of love. It can be super overwhelming, frustrating, and isolating at times, especially when it comes to growing your client base. The workshop will feature 5 awesome speakers to share their successes on how they’ve built their business and sustained growth. They'll also answer your questions! It all starts with a 90-minute live panel discussion coming up on March 14th. Click here register for this free live event!

Breakfast was this Chocolate Buckwheat Porridge topped with fresh strawbs, nanner, coconut, cacao nibs, and leftover raspberry chia jam. I'm obsessed with all the textures here!! Also suuuuuper obsessed with flaked coconut on everything right now.

I also had decaf coffee with almond milk.

Random fashion side note---I've been looking for comfy black pants forever and these ones that I bought over the weekend are a DREAM. They don't stretch out, they're insanely comfortable, super cute, and also on sale  for $39. I bought them in three different colors!

These are the black mules I'm wearing which are also insanely cute and comfy. This is the brown bag I'm obsessed with. It's not cheap, but I use it every single day and I'm such a sucker for gold accents!

Lunch was leftover Thai Crunch Salad from No Excuses Detox topped with roasted habanero chickpeas and roasted cashews. I'll be sharing the recipe tomorrow! I also had a big sliced apple with cinnamon plus baby carrots with guacamole.

Snackage included these delish Simple Mill's crackers with unpictured hummus plus a Chocolate Banana Muffin.

Another side effect of the period monster is dessert cravings like WOAH. For example, yesterday I made Kylie's Roasted Grapefruit with Walnut Granola and after shoveling that in my face, I ate a warmed chocolate banana muffin dipped Tru Whip. Aaaaaand then I went to town on So Delicious salted caramel cluster cashew milk ice cream...with more Tru Whip. See??

Dinner was a total feast at The Market Italian Village. We had a special event last night and pretty much ate and non-stop with a bunch of Columbus foodies for three hours straight. Olives, almonds, bread, olive oil, tons of salads, sweet potato gnocchi with creamed brussels sprouts, wood-fired cauliflower, chocolate beet cake with olive oil ice cream, and more!

I'm looking for comfy pair of pants too. Did you get the ones with the torn knees? It doesn't look like the ones you are wearing are torn, but in the link they are torn. Thanks much.

Yes, the torn knee ones! I also got a pair without rips but I love the rips. They're seriously amazing!

Hope you're feeling better! I love those black skinny jeans! So cute. It's so hard to find ones that are the perfect balance of not-too-jean-like and not-too-legging like. These look great! And those mules are cute, too! Reminds me ones I always see that Simi wears! ?

I came here for the food but I LOVE those shoes, haha. I'll be in Columbus this weekend and I'm SO EXCITED to get a Northstar Cafe burger. That's the top of my list, but that feast at The Market Italian Village looks amazing so I might have to stop there, too!
