Hello my foodie friends and welcome to this ever so delicious What I Ate Wednesday, Cleveland edition.
‘Tis I, Kendall, and if you know me at all you know that I love Cleveland. Born and raised in this city like Alexis, I have been so blessed to experience the passion and energy of a place that its inhabitants truly care about.
I just got home for holiday break and felt the strong urge to hit a few of my favorite places I’ve been craving the past few months. So, I got my girl gang in formation and we hit the streets to face-plant into some major delicacies. Oh, and Costco also made its way into the day’s plans, of course!
On my way to meet a friend for breakfast, I sipped on this Lemon Fire juice from Alchemy that I’ve been rationing. I seriously don’t know how I’m going to go three weeks without any Alchemy magic in my life.
We met at the Cleveland Tea Revival where I got this dreamy golden milk latte. It was infused with extra ginger and honey so y’all know it was great!
We then walked right next door to Beet Jar Juice Bar & Cafe, where I got the Black Metal smoothie which had all the goods like bloobs, bananas, kale, spirulina, avocado, etc. It was SO GOOD. Right in the heart of the Ohio City neighborhood with a raw taco salad and oatmeal jars I would give up my fave child for, Beet Jar is one of my favorite hidden secrets of Cleveland.

I also took a few bites of my friend’s Bravocado sandwich. Coconut bacon, avocado, chipotle cashew mayo…need I say more?
After a few errands, I sat down for lunch at The Root Cafe with some roasted sweet potatoes and a curried tomato, coconut, and cashew bisque sent from up above. I’m just going to give a big shoutout to one of my besties Grace for never leaving her house without perfect nails and always being my hand model.
I reserved a spot at my cycling studio for their 5 o’clock ride, so you know I needed that pre-workout fuel, AKA Greek yogurt and a cubed apple topped with pumpkin pie spice and a big Gingerbread No-Bake Bite. Seriously, make these. They’re the bomb.com.
Spoiler: dinner was actually prepared at mi casa and not a local Clevaldn spot. While waiting for the food to cook, I popped another Gingerbread No-Bake Bite and a few spoonfuls of hummus because this girl can’t wait. My family and I had big bowls of zucchini noodles sautéed with kale, pesto, garlic, and oregano topped with roasted Brussels sprouts and chunky tuna.
