    What I Ate Wednesday

    Published Nov 25, 2015 · Modified Apr 13, 2019 · by Alexis Joseph · Leave a Comment

I am literally and figuratively obsessed with smoothies.

    brekfast

You'd think drinking the same exact thing every morning would get old but it just keeps getting better. Like a fine wine.

Into my smoothie baggies goes a cup of frozen wild blueberries, a cup of frozen greens (this week I did half kale and half flat-leaf spinach), a tablespoon of cacao, a tablespoon of hemp seeds, a teaspoon of spirulina, and a scoop of Vega Protein + Greens. Using frozen greens makes it super thick and amazing. In the morning I dump it in the blender at Alchemy with a splash of vanilla extract and about a cup and a half of almond milk. Is it a smoothie or a chocolate milk shake? That is the question.

Yesterday morning I used less milk so I could eat it with a spoon because obviously everything is tastier eaten in a bowl with a spoon. I topped it with puffed quinoa, goji berries, flaked coconut, and cacao nibs. Favorite food right here. I also had a couple cups of coffee with almond milk.

    lunch

Lunch was Mushroom Tofu Chili over a baked sweet potato topped with sriracha and avocado. Dare I say I'm becoming more obsessed with sriracha and less obsessed with Frank's? Eeeeeek!

I also had a taste of Asian Carrot Noodles, one of my newest Alchemy creations! Obsessed. Go buy it now and thank me later.

    snack2

Afternoon snackage involved a couple Chocolate Peppermint No-Bake Bites (recipe coming Friday) followed by two wild rice cakes with hummus and hot sauce.

Sweet and savory, people. Very important.

    hummus

If you don't believe that my smoothie addiction is real, here is she blows yet again as a post-workout delight. It's pretty much the same as the morning mix except less of everything and no greens nor hemp seeds.

    snack

I topped this one with insanely crunchy and delish Love Grown Power-O's.

    dinner

Dinner was Sweet Potato Black Bean Enchiladas with a fried egg and more sriracha. Seriously.

    broc

I also stuffed my face with steamed broccoli dipped in hummus. I had half a bag of broccoli left and I never steam anything so I gave it a whirl. I actually really enjoyed it!
