I’m in love with smoothie bowls and I don’t care who knows it!!!!!
For real. Why are smoothies so much better with a spoon? That is the question.
I posted the whole recipe for this beauty yesterday on Instagram, but here it is again: 1 cup frozen blueberries, about 1 1/4 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 cup frozen spinach, 1 tbsp hemp seeds, 1 tbsp cacao powder, 2 medjool dates, a few drops of stevia, and a splash of vanilla. Blend ‘er up and top with cacao nibs and Love Grown Power O’s for crunch! Such a dream.
I had a working lunch meeting about future Alchemy’s (WEEEE!!!) which involved a huge Green Machine salad with a few modifications (spinach, broccoli, avocado, red onion, chickpeas, edamame, asparagus, red wine vinaigrette) from Market 65. This picture doesn’t do it justice. It was GIANT and I ate the whole thing.
I snacked on a bunch of cherries…
…and an almond coconut snack bar. Delish with a swig of almond milk!
I had dinner with a friend at a new tapas restaurant called Sidebar 22. I ordered the quinoa salad with salmon, which was pretty tasty. The smoked salmon bruschetta with capers and lemon cream cheese didn’t disappoint either. The tastiest part of the meal was by far the cinnamony (is that a word?) sangria. I also had a highly enjoyable glass of red wine. Going up…on a Tuesday!
See?! Even weird health nuts like me have days where they eat out twice and drink multiple alcoholic bevvies. Hakuna matatah!
