    What I Ate Wednesday

    Published Jul 31, 2019 Β· Modified Jul 31, 2019 Β· by Alexis Joseph Β· 14 Comments

    Breakfast

I'm on an English muffin kick! I grabbed these yummy Vermont Bakery whole grain English Muffins at Whole Foods and enjoyed one with peanut butter and coconut bacon and the other with avocado. Two fried eggs plus some sliced strawberries on the side!

I snacked on some super crunchy cheddar Hippeas amidst Costo shopping. Have you tried these chocolate covered pretzels? I can't get over the sweet and salty.

    Lunch

Chipotle! I got a bowl with brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, tomato and corn salsa, guac, lots of lettuce, and plenty of Chipotle tabasco sauce. Always hits the spot.

    Snacks

I can't get enough fresh cherries this summer. Be sure to check out yesterday's Cherry Crumble Pie in case you missed it!

Aaaaand a fuji apple with peanut butter before working out.

    Dinner

I got frozen Alaskan wild salmon from ALDI that we grilled and it wasΒ amazing. We served it with roasted asparagus, salad, and my new favorite fingerling potatoes. To make, preheat the oven to 400F and warm a good splash of olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat. slice a pound of fingerlings and a few cloves of garlic.

Sautee the garlic until golden and then transfer the garlic to a bowl. Add the potatoes plush a big pinch of kosher salt and pepper and cook for about 7 minutes, stirring often, or until some of the potatoes start to brown. Transfer the skillet to the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Remove the skillet from the oven, stir in the cooked garlic, and add a handful of chopped cilantro. So good!

    Dessert

I made THE best almond flour chocolate chip cookies that Jeff and I look so forward to at night. They might be my favorite cookie ever! I'll definitely post the recipe soon.

While we watched "This Caribbean Life," I munched on some popcorn with Frank's hot sauce. If you haven't tried it...you need to. Amazing.

In book news, I just finished Verity on Audible and I listened to it in under 48 hours. Super thrilling, totally addicting, definitely disturbing. I highly recommend! I just ordered another one of her highly rated books, It Ends With Us.

    Style Inspo

Got this adorable yellow tie Madewell top for 40% off yesterday from Nordstrom Rack and I'm now I'm excited for fall all over again.

Sun Bum is my favorite natural sun screen brand. If you prefer a spray sunscreen, I recommend this one.

Speaking of sunscreen, I've been looking for a daily sunscreen to wear on my face under makeup for a while now and I cannot say enough good things about this Supergoop one. I ordered from Derm Store which was new to me, but I read about ones on Amazon being fake so I steered clear.

I was hesitant about the price but it is amazing.Β Super lightweight and the farthest thing from greasy!

Express is having a 30% off sale on everything. I own these high waisted tie shorts in black and white and they're SUPER comfy + great for dressing up or down.

    Deodorant Deal!

I've also been loving Primally Pure's charcoal deodorant, which lucky for you is 50% through tonight only when you sign up for a new subscription and use the code HALFOFF. Jeff actually uses it, too.

I fell for their products ever since I tried their cleansing oil which is now the only thing I use to wash my face. It's never felt softer. My face used to feel like it was going to crack after I washed it and I cringe thinking about how dry it used to be!

Discount time! Get 10% off any Primally Pure Products with code ALEXIS. Woop woop!

I need to know more about the deodorant! I’ve been searching for years. Wondering if it can keep me stink and chafe free during long runs in hot and humid weather. Chafing is my #1 problem. Let me know!

I think deodorant works differently for everyone to be honest. If I sweat a lot, I definitely still come home smelly, but that's just how I am!

      LOVE everything huumasapien! ❀
I just researched Primally Pure deodorant and one of the ingredients is tallow, beef fat. I for one don't eat meat and certainly don't use products made from meat. Wasn't sure if you were aware of this ingredient in your deodorant.
Congrats on your engagement, you and Jeff seem like lovely people. Thank you for being you!

Vermont Bakery English muffins are my favorite!! The texture is a 10/10. They also make the best cinnamon raisin bread - it’s like 50% raisins and 100% amazing for French toast
