I’m a Truebar and I’ve got nothing to hide.
A few weeks ago, I was perusing my Facebook feed and noticed a blurb from Truebar about needing brand ambassadors to sample their products. I love working with brands I believe in (like R.A.W.), so of course I jumped all over the opportunity to help Bakery on Main spread the word about their delicious, gluten-free snack bars. At Bakery on Main, they’re all about better health and happy taste buds. Sound familiar? They sell a variety of gluten-free goodies, from granola and instant oatmeal mixes to chewy granola bars and my personal fave, Truebars.
Truebar began in 2010 with the mission to create a unique snack bar for health-conscious consumers with exotic flavors not found in other snack bars. Their fab flavors include Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry, Walnut Cappuccino, Coconut Cashew, Fruit & Nut, Raspberry Chocolate Almond, and Apricot Almond Chai. I was pleased to discover that all Truebars are dairy-free, certified gluten-free, kosher, non-GMO, and made with low glycemic index ingredients (ones that don’t make your blood sugar spike super quickly). They also contain 5% chia seeds for some positively delish plant-based, brain-boosting omega 3s.
There are a heck of a lot of granola bars on the market. I get asked allllll the time for healthy granola bar recommendations, and my usual answer is: “Make your own because the ones on the shelves are full of crap.” They’re usually super processed, loaded with sugar, and too low on the fiber and protein scale to be deemed a worthy snack. But Truebars are different. Though they do have about 12 grams of sugar per bar (I wish they’d reduce that a bit), the sugars won’t spike your blood sugar as fast as refined white sugar and high-fructose corn syrup will. The bars are sweetened primarily with brown rice syrup, evaporated cane juice and agave. I especially appreciate that oil (expeller pressed canola this is, NOT soybean oil ) is the last ingredient in the list.
What I love about these bars is that they actually taste good and totally satisfy my sweet tooth. AND they actually have a legit ingredient list. Truebar is like the healthy version of crappy store-bought granola bars, loaded with healthy ingredients you can feel good about eating and rich flavors that’ll knock your socks off. My favorite flavor is hands down the coconut cashew bar because I’m beyond obsessed with coconut. I also loved the raspberry chocolate almond bar–such a fab combo. With three grams of fiber, three grams of protein and roughly 180 calories per bar, these would be an awesome grab and go pre-workout snack or afternoon pick me up.
So where can you buy these bad boys? You can buy them on their website for $1.99 a piece or buy a sleeve of 12 bars for $17.99 (25% savings). Plus, shipping is free! You can also find them in GNC stores nationwide along with a variety of other chains.
Now you totally want to try one, right? I’ll randomly pick one winner to receive 5 different Truebar flavors and some other Truebar goodies. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment telling me each time you did one of the following:
