Hey beautiful people! It's Kendall from Squad Hummusapien (#SquadGoals). Today I'm here to tell you that I have this thing for grocery stores...and it's pretty serious.
Ever since I was a lil' chickpea I've LOVED grocery stores. Like, imagine a 12-year-old getting genuinely mad at her mother for going food shopping without her, and that was me (p.s. Mother, if you're reading this I know you went to Costco last week without me). Getting my license only fueled my passion. Then not only could I go find all the new yummy eats, but I didn't have to ask for a ride.
To this day you can find me regularly perusing the food aisles searching for good eats and looking at the pretty packaging. If you officially think I'm a weirdo now, I completely support and acknowledge your feelings. But alas, my weirdness brought us here, here to this post of seven super prime eats I snagged from my local Whole Foods. What makes them even better is that I paid $4 or less for each item, either because of a regular low price or a sale because #poor #college #kid. I will be starting a charity called the Kendall's Grocery Addiction Fund. Feel free to DM if you wanna donate. These foods have great ingredients, are personally taste tested and delicious, and can all be easily incorporated into your daily snacks and meals.
Ready, set, dive in to this bomb a** list and rest assured that I'll be back next month with seven new delish and nutrish grocery store finds! We'll talk then, if you don't catch me in a grocery aisle near you before that.
Super Raw Chocolate from Go Raw is ahhh-mazing. They're individually packaged in perfect little squares and with a crazy rich flavor and dense texture, they make the perfect mini choco-fix!
I'd been seeing a ton of posts using Nutiva products in the foodie blogosphere, so I just had to grab this little mini Chocolate Plant Protein Powder when I saw it! Guys, it brought my smoothie game to the next level I was in creamy chocolate heaven.
This is the Everlasting Joy Macrobar from GoMacro. All I have to say is go buy it, heat it in the micro for 12-15 seconds, then think of me when you eat it.
Sweet & Spicy Boomchickapop from Angie's Artisan Treats is the ultimate addiction. I normally buy the huge bag of their kettle corn from Costco which I'm obsessed with, but this flavor is outta this world.
If you haven't tried Califia Farms cold brew beverages you're missing out, but their new Turmeric Ginger Almond Milk kills the game too. Ten outta ten.
I know Organic Red Lentil Penne Pasta from Tolerant will be gracing my kitchen shelves from now on forever and always. It cooks to a great al dente texture and didn't leave me wishing it was a more traditional pasta. TBH I prefer this over regular pasta!
Organic Happy Tummy Tea from Allegro Tea will now be my go-to! Seriously my people, it is EVERYTHANG. Made to support healthy digestion, the mix of ginger and mint is so soothing before bed.
What are you recent grocery store faves? Share away!

Hahaha omg this is so me. I have an addiction to grocery shopping I will literally just wander the aisles looking for new product. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are both on my way home from work and I can honestly say I stop way more than I should!

Slow shopping is the best! (Though not always for my wallet). I recently bought Kalot's Fruit and Cashew Butter (White Chocolate, Strawberries and Chia Seeds) and is THE BOMB!
Kendall says
That sounds SO DREAMY. And girl, I feel that. I made sure everything I bought was around $4 because the college girl budget is so real. Thanks for reading 🙂

You guys get WAY cooler products in the US than we have in Canada. I've heard such good things about the Califia Farms drinks!
Kendall says
OMG I wish you had Califia Farms up there! Just an excuse to come visit us in Ohio 🙂

Kendall says
That's the thing about these great drinks, their price! This was actually $2.69, so reasonable in comparison to others. THanks for reading!
Beth says
where do you find all these products? Have never seen them before in my grocery stores. Thanks
Beth says
and that protein bar is very high in calories don't you think? How do you make your chocolate shake? Just add water?
Kendall says
I bought all of these yummy products at my local Whole Foods! Kroger and Market District have a lot of them as well, which are some Midwestern grocery chains near me. And as far as the calories in the bar go, I really look more to see if the bar has great ingredients and I don't get held up about the calorie count 🙂 For the protein powder I actually chose to blend it into my daily smoothie instead of keeping it a separate shake, in which case you would add water!
Thanks for reading!

OMG I LOVE grocery shopping! You should see how excited I get to go to Costco...Since I can only go when I am off island, it's like Christmas time for me...YEP I am that dork! PS: I need to look for that turmeric find next time I go to Stop & Shop up here on island. Happy Monday! XOXO

That Go Raw chocolate is my absolute favorite! Oh my gosh, so fudgey. It's the perfect little lunchbox treat. I've gotta try that Nutiva protein out! I love that it's stevia free since stevia tends to make me sick. My recent grocery faves have been Crazy Richard's Crunchy PB, Crunchy Barney Butter, and Ezekial Gluten Free English Muffins.
xxMeah
