Hi! It’s your gal pal Kendall here for another delish roundup of Grocery Store Finds.
I am writing this post from the corner of a big plush couch with steaming golden milk in my hand and a fluffy blanket the size of my SUV. Winter storm Stella is twirling her strong, beautiful fingers through the window and I am in full on spring break bliss.
It’s most likely not a surprise to hear that Alexis has been an amazing influence and inspiration in my life for the past two years. With recent realizations of her passions and beliefs, she has me feeling more inspired, motivated, and at peace than I have felt for years. I am trying to focus more energy on being patient and kind to myself, and it’s a beautiful coincidence that the health and wellness gurus are calling 2017 the year of hygge. A Danish word, hygge roughly translates into “coziness.” This concept is built strongly into the culture and focuses on the importance of meaningful interactions, warm socks, big mugs of cocoa, and constantly doing little things that make you happy. Well, book me a flight to Denmark and cut me a big slice of Peanut Butter Zucchini Brownie because I’m in!
The foods I’ve chosen for this month’s Grocery Store Finds are some of my favorite staples that make me feel good and are a (tasty) show of love to my body when I enjoy them. Hygge on, my people.
Chocolate and almond butter. That is all. No seriously, go pick yourself up a Chocolate Almond Butter Miracle Tart from Hail Mary like now.
Annie’s has stepped up their Organic Shells & White Cheddar game with cheese made from the milk of grass-fed cows! Hello childhood and hello deliciousness.
Sticking with the 100% grass-fed trend, I discovered Stonyfield Organic Plain Greek Yogurt my freshman year of college and it is no doubt my absolute favorite greek yog to this day!
I first used Lightlife’s Organic Tempeh for Alexis’ Vegan Stuffing (which I have made four times, Thanksgiving or not) and I became hooked. The texture and flavor when baked or sizzled in a pan are out of this world!
I’ve had a recent obsession with cashews and Maisie Jane’s Creamy Cashew Butter is scrumptiously feeding it.
Square Organics Chocolate Coated Almond Spice has that perfect sweet and spicy kick that my body craves on the daily! Constantly on sale at Whole Foods, go and snatch some up.
I hope the rest of your chilly March days are filled with as much hygge and chocolate as mine will be!
