    August 2017 Grocery Store Finds

    Published Aug 14, 2017 · Modified Feb 14, 2022 · by Alexis Joseph · 6 Comments

Hey party people! It's Natalie and I'm back with some drool worthy grocery store finds.

Okay first of all, how is it August?! It feels like just last month I was getting excited about the thought of summer and now it’s almost over! I’m trying to contain my excitement for all things pumpkin spice and really soak up the long, sunny days that summer brings. I die over fall (who doesn’t?) so this is no small feat. Spending days at the pool and eating cashew milk ice cream almost every night make it more bearable though. I will survive!

Another thing that helps me savor each season is strolling through the grocery store and picking up foods that fit the time of year. Local peaches, watermelon, and burgers for grilling out have me feeling like I want summer to stay forever! So if you’re trying to enjoy the last days of heat and humidity or just need to get out of a food rut, take your beautiful self to your fave store and roam the aisles until you find food that makes your heart sing.

I never used to add creamer to my coffee because it's not "healthy" and I honestly liked my coffee with just a little bit of almond milk, but earlier this year I started buying flavored creamer and I'm a changed woman! Dramatic? Yes, but all my coffee drinkers out there know just how important that morning cup (or five) is.

I lOVE bagels and I think the trend of adding the everything flavor to other foods is the best thing since turtle necks came back in style. Simple Mills is seriously changing the food game by making fun food with super wholesome ingredients that leave you feeling nourished! You won't regret trying these everything sprouted seed crackers.

Ohh this cheese dip. When I saw the description "creamy chia cheese" on the top, my immediate thought was "that sounds so gross. I need to try it." My hope was that it would be amazing and then I could tell you all about it and we would bond over how delicious the mysterious chia cheese was, but the texture was too weird and it's going straight back to the store. Stick with real cheese, people. It never disappoints!

Pasta is my favorite food group but I hate that it only keeps me full for like 2 seconds. This pasta is made from the beloved chickpea and is full of plant-protein to solve my pasta problem!

This stuff is a miracle worker for stomach aches! I bought some when I got car sick on a road trip last month and it literally worked in seconds. Don't you love it when you find a natural remedy that works better than traditional medicine?

Sweet potato fries, cookies, tacos, ice cream, casserole... you name it and if it's made with sweet potato, I'll eat it. The love is so real. I've never had it in a puff, but I know that these are about to become my favorite freezer staple.

I hope your August is full of laughter and fun, happy food!! Until next time!

I'm totally super excited for fall too! I've tried that brand of vegan cheese and I totally agree, something is off about it and I was pretty disappointed. I NEED to try that ginger drink! I'm always looking for a great natural stomach soother.

The girl who sits next to me at work always has flavored creamer in her coffee, and I swear the smell alone gets me through the mornings. Soooooo delicious smelling, she needs to share!

Also, I definitely share your love for sweet potatoes. I can't resist!
