    15 Festive Winter Salads

    Published Nov 18, 2014 · Modified Nov 8, 2021 · by Alexis Joseph · 8 Comments

Winter is chock full of belly-busting feasts, from turkey day trimmings and Christmas dinner to Halloween candy and Hanukkah latkes galore.

    15 Festive Winter Salads

Okay wait. Those were winter and fall holidays. This crazy chilly weather has me all confused about the seasons. Mother Earth is a volatile woman!

The best thing about salads (besides the fact that you can get like, at least nineteen servings of veggies in one sitting) is that you can go totally crazy with toppings. Lettuce is simply a canvas for fabulousness. Cheese. Grains. Fruits. Beans. Nuts. And MORE veggies!! It's just begging for your creativity to transform it from lame lettuce to sensational, superb and totally sexy salad.

Spring is for asparagus salads. Summer is for berry salads. Fall is for apple salads. Winter is for squash, pomegranate seeds, and snowflakes salads.

It may not actually be winter outside yet, but considering the low is well below zero degrees tomorrow, I'd say we're all more than prepared for a squashy salad or three. Let's skip the snowflake salads, please and thanks.

Just made a cross between a winter and fall salad last night. I pretty much adore any salad that is veggie dense with goat cheese so I'm definitely lovin on some of these salads.
