Yesterday was a whirlwind of good food, great food, and even better food. So is the life I live!
While I prepped for Good Day Columbus, I shoved a smoothie bowl in my face for breakfast. I used frozen kale instead of frozen spinach and I’m noticing that it has a much gritter texture. Meh. Excuse the poor, poor, poor lighting situation.
The boyf came with me to my segment (sorry for putting your picture up, boo!) so luckily we got some good shots of the hummus action.
I made my favorite vegan basil pesto stuffed mushrooms, hummus deviled eggs, and hummus crostinis. Appetizers galore!
I was still full from all the mushrooms and deviled eggs I ate after the segment, but the boyf was hangry so we stopped at Pistachia Vera for coffee (with cinnamon and soy milk) and quiche. I had a few bites and it was jaw-droppingly delish.
Then I popped in to check on Alchemy and obviously snagged two salads (quinoa and kale + curried chickpea) and a couple of our new gingerbread no bake bites before heading to The Market Italian Village for meetings.

I couldn’t say no to a slice of the Market’s pizza pie. It was a very random day of eating to say the least.
I stopped at Arman’s on my way home so he could unload his freezer on me before he moves to LA. These blueberry bars were hands down one of my favorite recipes of his. I’m not kidding when I say I ate a whole row. I’m aware that they’re not the most beauteous bars there ever were.
I’ve been lucky enough to lay mouth on nearly everything he’s made since moving here. My faves include these rice krispie treats (get excited for the swirl version coming soon), these sweet potato brownies, and these apple blondies. He is SUCH a whiz. My freezer is literally overflowing. The only reasonable solution is to eat multiple treats every day…duh.
The great veggie roast!! Dinner was some wild salmon I picked up at The Market along with leftover shrooms, roasted beets, green peppers, cauliflower, garlic, and sweet potatoes. It was a dream meal.
