What’s up hummus home-girls-and-boys?!
Breakfast lately has been…not smoothies. Cray, right? What can I say? I’m on an oatmeal kick! Every berry known to man was on sale at the store so that didn’t hurt the oatmeal case either, considering I pretty much die for fresh berries atop hot steamy oats drizzled in drippy almond buttah. Still obsessed with the insane creaminess of Crazy Richard’s almond butter, bee tee dubs.
Which is precisely what I made for breakfast! On the side I had a hugh jass mug of locally roasted Silver Bridge Coffee with almond milk.
I took a bunch of photos this morning for Alchemy so I also chowed down on half a piece of our PB&J toast. How could I not?!
My lunch plans included an Avocado Bean Burger (I don’t really use a recipe anymore but that’s the closest!) atop leftover kale salad with added baked sweet potatoes, peppers, and Krazy Kraut sauerkraut, but a last-minute Fusian meeting changed the lunch game. I popped my lunch back in the fridge for tomorrow and headed to sushi land!
I ordered a brown rice roll with half tuna and half smoked salmon, cucumber, carrot, avocado, jalapeños, spinach, and asparagus topped with sriracha and sesame seeds. We also had some edamame on the side. So tasty! We’re super pumped to be doing an Alchemy + Fusian + Local Matters collaboration in the fall! Stay tuned, hangry friends.
The snack situation involved a couple Raw Mexican Hot Chocolate Truffles from the freezer stash (thank God for those)…
…and a loaded smoothie pick-me-up of sorts with frozen bloobs, chocolate brown rice protein, spinach, kale, spirulina, ginger, and almond milk. You didn’t think I’d forgo a smoothie on National Smoothie Day did you? The horror.
After a sweaty Body Pump sesh the boyf and I headed to Local Cantina for Taco Tuesday ($2 tacos hayyyy!). No lie, they have hands down the best tacos in the city. You better believe I inhaled some chips and salsa before the tacos arrived!
First, they have the most friendly staff in all the land. Second, the veggie tacos are always packed to the brim with goodness including corn and black bean salsa, pico de gallo, cabbage, and guacamole. I always add sautéed mushrooms and zucchini as well.
These are no wimpy tacos! I’m so in love.
Afterwards we headed to Kroger from some random recipe ingredients. I ate a few handful of grapes while we meandered about.
Dessert was my go-to So Delicious coconut milk mini cream sandwich. Hits the spot every freaking time!
