Hello loyal Hummusapien readers. G’day! It’s Arman, the blogger behind The Big Man’s World.
That, however, should be no surprise to you. I mean, you are a loyal Hummusapien reader.
Have you ever met someone who you just click with? That person that you felt like you’ve been best buddies with forever, even though you hadn’t actually met? Well, I hadn’t either…until I met Alexis. During my trek across the great America, I was fortunate to spend 4 months in A’s hood, Columbus.
Some of the fun adventures we had, included going to Northstar Cafe, Brassica, Northstar Cafe, Brassica, Alchemy, Northstar Cafe, Brassica, Alchemy, Northstar Cafe, Brassica, Alchemy.
Yes, I was living in one of the prominent, emerging foodie cities.
Yes, I was living a mere five minutes walk away from one of the internet’s favorite foodies.
Yes, those are the only three places I ever ate at with Alexis.
City of Columbus, give this girl free meals at those two places. I swear she is half kale salad/half curried cauliflower.
Besides her epic friendship, the best thing about living in Columbus was having Alexis there as my real-time taste tester. If it didn’t get the Hummusealofapproval, it didn’t make the blog. Not only that, some of these recipes are still made by Alexis to this day!
Her Snapchat and Instagram stories are proof of that goodness.
Here are the top five recipes tried, tested AND remade by Alexis!
Hands down, the most made recipe by the both of us. Whenever I made a batch, I made one for Alexis too. I swear the both of us kept Kroger’s brown rice syrup off the shelves.
There is a reason why there were always bananas present in the Hummusapien household. Post dinner sweet cravings strike? These can be whipped up in a blender AND taste amazing from the freezer.
My personal favorite no bake bite is actually one from Alchemy, the infamous cranberry pecan ones. A close second? These snickerdoodle ones, which are perfect for this upcoming cinnamon and pumpkin enhanced season.
Believe it or not, Alexis is as strong as a fox. I mean, she can open jars of salsa with a single finger. I personally attest it to these protein packed brownies. This protein is bomb!
She may disagree.
She is wrong.
“Hi, I have a chocolate craving. Can’t be bothered going on your blog. What’s your best mug cake recipe?”
The above brownie was sent to Alexis before I even posted it on her blog. It was a quick and easy chocolate fix and what better way than use her as a guinea pig.
Bonus! Alexis epic side kick Kendall is also a fan of TBMW recipes. Word on the street is Kendall AND her room mates are fans of these better than boxed mix brownies.
Seriously, once you make these, you’ll scoff at any Betty Crockpot goodies.
Cheers for having me on here and letting me share some Hummusapien-approved recipes. Most of all, big love to Alexis for being one epic legend.
Let’s hope she develops a chickpea allergy. 🙂
